If you haven't been there before, my preference is the Freelance Cafe in Piermont, but they don't take reservations and you may have to wait a bit for a table. Nice and fun: Outdoor dining at the boat club on the water just north of Piermont village, along the road which hugs the water... Barcelona in Tappan is also a nice little place. The '76 House is located in a historical building and serves steak, etc. Il Portico serves Italian and Barcelona serves Spanish food.
