I was very excited to spot a new Asian Tea House opening in Mt. Kisco. The place is called Temptation Tea House. It's on a little alley off South Moger Avenue, near Starbucks, Chicos, etc. They have a full assortment of just-like-Chinatown bubble teas, fruit green teas, flavor black teas, smoothies, milk shakes, etc. They also have all the snacks -- roast pork buns, various dim sum-my kind of things (dumplings, shu mai, spring rolls, etc.), plus some unexpected things, like satay, curry pie and green onion pie, bean paste pyramid (what are those?). Also on the menu: soups, salads, udon noodle soups, and a small list of full-sized entrees. I'm ready to start working my way through the menu!

BTW, if you are not familiar with bubble tea, it's kind of like a tea latte. Green or black tea with lots of milk, sweet, iced, with black tapioca pearls which are firm gelatin in texture -- no real flavor, but fun to chew. It's served with an extra-wide straw for sucking up the pearls.

Yes, it's definitely open, I walked past it a couple of weeks ago. To find it, go to Cosi (which is on the north end of S Moger Avenue), across from Dansk. Next to Cosi, there is an alley that goes to the parking lot. Go down that alley and you'll get to this place. If you park in the lot behind Cosi (and all of the other stores on that strip) you can get there directly.

Their entrees looked pretty interesting too. Teas were rather pricy as I recall, $3-4?

I went there on Saturday right after I read the chowhound post. The food was pretty authentic, and the price was not outrageous. However, I don't think I'll go again...

I've been meaning to post a review of Temptation Tea House, but I haven't had a moment. The comments here have matched my opinion pretty well: The dim sum are very good but fairly expensive. The teas are wonderful (try their special jasmine), but also expensive. The bubble tea is good. Their noodles soups are very tasty but rather skimpy. I prefer the noodle soup at Pacific, a Chinese restaurant on Rt. 117 just beyond the movie theater, which makes their own noodles daily.

My wife and I ate at the Temptation Tea House today based on the above comments. Overall, the food was pretty good. The Thai curry noodles with chicken were good, but I like a little more bite with curry flavored items. The Tom Yum Noodles were excellent. I had a Passion fruit bubble tea and my wife had a mango bubble tea. Her's was excellent. Mine was slightly weaker in flavor, but still very good.
We'll certainly eat there again.
