Bridal shower tea on Long Island

We are looking for a restaurant/tea salon on LI to hold our sister's bridal shower. Plan on 30-40 guests. Prefer Nassau or western Suffolk (eastern Queens will do in a pinch). Does anyone have any suggestions? We are looking for something along the lines of Tea & Sympathy or Anglers & Writers in the W Village.
Would appreciate any/all suggestions. Thanks much!!

many years ago I went for a memorable lunch at The Palm Court in the Carltun. It was a beautiful sunny yellow room. I have no idea about doing a tea there - but I always will remember that room!

I just luv Tea ans Sympathy! One of my all time favorite restaurants. Sorry but I have not found anything in LI like this. But will read your responses as I miss the Welsh Rarebit and sconce with clotted cream!

I went to a lovely tea at the Garden City Hotel. I'm sure it's kinda pricey, though.

I don't know Long Island very well. However, I do know a fairly comprehensive directory of tea rooms for the US and Canada. Please see the link below. Good luck--I've love a bridal shower tea if I got married.
