What's open on Thanksgiving in the Mid-Hudson Valley?

If anybody knows of any good restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day in the Dutchess/Ulster County area, I'd love to know.

I just saw a notice that Le Canard Echaine in Kingston is open with a prix fixe dinner on Thanksgiving Day. They recommended reservations.

At the risk of inviting a maelstrom of abuse and condemnation, New World Home Cooking in Ulster Co. has Thanksgving buffet that I have enjoyed with my family for the past 3 or 4 years for Thanksgiving. The quality, quantity and the variety of the dishes has been fantastic all 3 years. They had vegan options as well and a cuban roasted pork that melts in your mouth. Free range turkey with 3 stuffing options (all great), and planked salmon. The appetizer table is worth the price of admission, itself. My only complaint lastyear was they did not have Jane's pumpkin ice cream as in years past - my favorite thanksgiving dessert.

Their buffet and dining room set-up was a little chaotic the first year we went but was better in the past year or two.

In High Falls the Canal House is usually open. And in Ellenville Aroma Thyme Bistro is open. They even have great vegan options plus, of course, turkey. Both restaurants have a great reputation.

Terrapin in Rhinebeck is offering thanksgiving dinner to go, you just have to order ahead of time and then you can pick it up on the 26th.

No doubt Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck. It's an elegant old place right in town on Route 9.

If you don't mind coming to Rockland County, Restaurant X, in Congers, serves a beautiful Thanksgiving Dinner. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

Restaurant X is situated in a park like setting, perfect for this time of year.

I have friends who have enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at Mohunk Mountain House -- the resort hotel in New Paltz. Never been there myself.
