Italian Hot Dogs

I am doing a survey about the best Italian hot dog joints in New Jersey. Please respond with a description and the location of your favorite places.
Thanks.

I haven't been to Charlie's in Kenilworth in awhile, but it was always my favorite out of the other similar places.

I love hot dogs; especially Italian Hot Dogs. I've tried almost all the Italian Hot Dog places in N.J. Jimmy Buff's, Dickie Dees, Tommy's, Frank's, Charlies Famous, Charlie and Sons, etc. The absolute best is Charlies Famous located on Michigan Ave. in Kenilworth. Is real easy to get to. E-mail me for directions. This place is the best because they have the best bread, (Charlie and Sons gets theirs from the same supplier also) a lot of potatoes sliced thin, and red and green peppers. A lot of red and green peppers; more than the other places. I, personally don't like onions, so I don't get them. Almost all of the places listed use Best brand hot dogs, which are the highest quality dogs in the state, superior to Sabretts, Nathans, Thumanns, and all of the other name brands. Charlies gives you more than the other places, the vegetables are better, and the sandwich isn't as greasy as, say Jimmy Buff's

I used to live in north jersey and got my italian hot dogs at tommys in elizabeth, buffs, and in kennilworth sometimes.
i moved to monmouth county and couldn't find a place close-by to get a decent italian hot dog anywhere... No --where-- until i went into keyport for a little sight seeing one day..
I Accidently came across this hot dog place on the water.. I figured i'd just get a regular hot dog with mustard & kraut,, but to my surprise they made italian hot dogs, so i ordered a double...
Well... let me tell you..WoW .i would never believe that you could get an italian hot dog so much like buff,s .just like up north ! I ordered a double and i thought i was in newark but lookin over the raritan bay.. like i'm in heaven..They got it all together.. the right dogs, up north bread, fresh veggies, ohhh,
        They got the recipie ! and with-out all the grease. D e l i c i o u s !
i'm hooked , The name of the place is Hot dog Bob's, and they,re on the water across from a big parking lot., with a firemans statue in front..I believe its on front st.. go there, you won't be sorry..

Haven't been there yet, but there was a place called Hot Dog Bob's in that same location before Ricci Dees. And it wasn't that good. Is it the same people? Are you affiliated with this place?

Let me point you to 'Frank's Newark Style Hot Dogs' on Route 1 north by Menlo Park Mall in Edison. One of the few remaining retro-type places along Route 1 and pretty dang good stuff and a lot of character (and characters) as well.
