Pat Hammond was asking for Pelham tips, so i'll unload some. I've only been to couple of these...mostly just recorded tips, so caveat eater (if anyone has comments, positive or negative, please chime in!)

Barone's on westchester Ave in the Bronx right across from the Pelham Bay park last stop on the 6 line. They'll cook anything you ask for.

Yvonne's Southern (914) 738-2005 142 5th Ave I didn't love the food here (better: just drive down to Harlem), but it's something different.

Salumeria Ann Clair 1130 Morris Park Ave 409-1171 great choc pudding and desserts (says me...this is one I HAVE tried)

Patricia's Pizza/Pasta on Morris Park Ave for brick oven pizza.

captain pizza 1042 morris pk ave 824-5036

Emilio's Pizza 1051 Morris Park ave (at Hone ave) 718-822-6758 11-11 (till 12 f/s) famous for white pizza

Frankie and Johnny's Pine Tavern 1913 Bronxdale off Morris Pk. Ave 792-5956 supposed to be real good italian (and my oral surgeon is never wrong), but this tip is 7 years old

Casa Mia on Morris Park near Pelham Pkwy gigantic plate of calamari, free bruschetta
