Cafe Strega, Pleasantville
- Sharon A
I hear it's changed hands--true? false? Anybody been
yes its changed hands. the old owners are very close friends of mine. however the new ownners are very experienced, and the old chef tony g. has returned after about a years leave. food/vibe is great. ask for james when you walk in, tell him I sent you. enjoy- its still our local fave by far
re: stephen kaye
Where is the old owner headed? He was a good guy,
surprisingly knowledgable about local underground eats
(spoke knowledgably about latino rice and beans within
a fifteen mile radius).
Bad timing for him, too. Chappaqua has TONS of tourist
biz these days (it's like a gold rush or something)
thanks to the Bill und Hill show, and I'm sure Strega--
being the only serious food for miles around--stands to
catch a lot of extra biz.
I just hope the secret service doesn't shut down
