For a delightful (basically take-out) experience, try
Eatzi's on Old Country Road, across the street from the
entrance to Roosevelt Field. They have a wonderful
selection of a variety of breads and baked desserts
(one chef handles just baking), excellent sandwiches at
a reasonable price (on a variety of breads, with
delightful mustards and other spreads), hot foods,
coffees, etc. If you are in the area, try it for
lunch, or if you need a quick, appealing dinner, they
have that too. And the prices are remarkably
reasonable. A chowhound's delight.

Technically its in Carle Place. I've found a lot of
the food to be exceedingly salty, and Jim knows how I
    love salt.....

But, yes, it's a good place to get some different take-
out. They also have a wine shop.

    1. UNFORTUNATELY THIS LOCATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR BUSINESS.
I THINK THE ROCKVILLE CENTRE LOCATION IS ALSO CLOSED
      FOR BUSINESS.
