helios: great burger

thanks to this board, i stopped in for lunch today at helios and was craving a burger ...remembered the recommendation and wasn't disappointed. although the service was a bit disjointed (and there was only myself and another table in the place), the food was very good. i would love to go back and sample their other offerings...espec. the greek ones. in fact, i felt a bit silly ordering a mushroom cheeseburger in the face of allt he greek offerings but i was really craving one so i did.

a great size burger with very good char flavor...freshly sauteed mushrooms and sharp cheddar. a nice bun and a real actually-ripe tomato slice. they offer you either fries or salad and a drink for another $2.95 (so my whole bill with tax was $10.80) and i picked the salad. a HUGE portion of mixed greens with onions and a very good crumbled feta throughout with a tasty vinigrette...more than i could even eat.

one of the most satisfying burger lunches i've had in a while. a great addition to park slope.

how is their other stuff? anything special?

Glad you enjoyed your burger. Their souvlaki is very good, and I had a grilled lamb entree with delicious rice that I recommend.
