Great burger alert

I had a great hamburger last night at Helios in Park Slope. Big but not too big, juicy and served on a house-made brioche roll. It comes with a side of fresh, herb sprinkled fries. At night, they serve coffee in a French press and it's really good. I'll be back.

And their avoglemono soup is to die for- so lemony and eggy with nice long strands of chicken and a good amount of orzo.

I agree that Helios makes a great burger, serves great coffee and that avgolemono soup is first rate. Their souvlaki--especially the lamb--is terrific. for simple Greek fare in a pretty setting, Helios is ideal.

It's right on 6th Avenue a half-block in from Flatbush Avenue. The old Terrazza space.

Yes, right where Sixth Ave and St. Mark's Ave. almost intersect with Flatbush.

By the way, anyone know why it is sometimes spelled with an H (Helios) and sometimes not (Elios)?

It opened as Elio's and was changed to Helios. The owner wasn't aware of a restaurant called Elio's in Manhattan, so he was forced to change the name.
