Organic Forever just opened on Austin Street, after months of problems with the building contractor. It's a great store, probably the only place in Forest Hills where you can find acai juice, frozen organic mangos, dried bulk foods, organic mahi-mahi and Ethnic Gourmet frozen entrees under one roof. (The only thing I didn't find that appetizing was the prepared foods counter) Personally, I find it much more inviting than the crowded, narrow-aisled, rude-patron-filled Natural.

Kerry, thanks for your most welcome post. I'll be in FH's next week look forward to visiting the natural foods store you mentioned. You're absolutely correct about the rude patron filled Natural.

I hope you enjoy it :-)
It's bright and clean, and twice the size of what you can see from the front. The frozen foods and bulk dried foods are in the back.

Yeah, Natural is nuts... so much pushing, etc. I think it's because the aisles are so narrow, everyone is in each other's way. Organic Forever is much smaller but overall a much more pleasant food shopping experience.

Another thumbs up for this store. Ver clean and well laid out. Lets hope it stays awhile.

I also know the owner of the building, who kept telling me it was opening a few months ago.

My hope exactly...
in a neighborhood of Johnny Rockets, TGIFridays and pathetic pseudo-Italian hasbeen restaurants, it's nice to see a great organic store. I only hope that the residents support it. The kind-of-mediocre health-food store on QB near 68th Road has managed to survive for years, so I'm hopeful.

I don't know about the prices, but I can see Organic Forever right out my window, from Gerard Towers. I haven't been in there, they just opened a few days ago, but Organic Forever is right next to the Bann Thai Restaurant, Past Barnes & Noble, Annie Sez, toward Yellowstone Boulevard.
