The rolls and cooked food at the sushi bar aren't half bad, last time I was there their eel was particularly fresh tasting. Also the take-out market is better than the restaurant next door, however if you are into the airport bar that restaurant bar does the "make it a double for $2 extra" deal. I've always skipped the fast food court and there's nothing especially appealing on the ticketing side of security.

The new American terminal (9) might have upgraded eats if you feel like taking the free tram a few terminals down and going back thru security, but avoid terminals 3 and 4 for food.

If you're inclined, terminal 5 has a spa/salon so you can get a pedicure while you wait.

Don't know about dinner. I bought salad at Terminal 6 to take on board.

Spinach (choice of several kinds of lettuce, also) in a sealable bowl was fresh. You then add your own ingredients. Nothing remarkable, but 3 hours into flight I was thankful I had done it. Mozzarella balls weren't too bad.

Here's a picture.
