best bagels in Bay Ridge-maybe all of Brooklyn

I'd like to mention Dale Bagels (7715 5th Ave, Bay Ridge). I'm new to New York so maybe not a bagel expert but these are the best bagels I've ever had anywhere. I've noticed that Bagel Boys on 3rd Ave is always packed but Dale Bagels is not. I think it has to do with the decor, Bagel Boys is shiny and Dale Bagels is a bit less fresh looking. But if you are after a good bagel- go to Dale.

The bagel place at 7715 5th Avenue is now called SAM'S Bagels. It used to be Dale's (they've since relocated to 18th Ave) and Bergen Bagels. Though the awning is in disrepair, don't be put off. These are indeed the BEST bagels I've ever had...anywhere. And I've had a lot of bagels, all over NYC. Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, so puffed up that they're almost round. Unbelievable.

Bagel Boy - Avenue Z & East 17th - has the best everything bagels you'll ever taste.

Eating a Dale Bagal right now for the first time. Plain, lightly toasted, cc and lox. Crispy and light on the outside - wonderfully dense on the inside. The amount of cc and lox is just right - enough to ooze a bit, but not gush onto my lap. I have to admit, the best bagel I've ever had.

The only Dale Bagels that exists is at 6201 18th Avenue, try those bagels if you are around.

if you love bagels, you must try bagel hole in park slope....delicious old-fashioned bagels and not the size of a frisbee!!

I am also a resident of Bay Ridge and I think that both Dale and the place on 3rd Avenue and maybe 67th? are fantastic.
