So come to Red Hook and the Pioneer is an awesome bar. Friendly, good drinks, cheap and a good mix of people. But the pulled pork sandwich I had there was cold and tasteless. It was baked bread crumbs with a few macaronis and a small layer of cheese on top. the brisket was uninspiring, the only highlight wsas the french fries. Beer was cheap, staff was friendly, crowd was fun - I'll be back to drink, but will probably not order food. The food is so good and it's a great atmosphere- very casual and friendly- the staff is really nice too.
