Pollo Campero-WHAT HAPPENED?

Que paso? Was shocked and dismayed today to find Pollo Campero in Sunset Park with a big 'For Rent' sign in the window. Was all set for the best cheap fried chix around and am now lost. Anyone know if it's coming back in Brooklyn? Help, please, someone.

  1. Yeah, Pollo Campera got shut down. I think the one in Flushing/Corona is still going strong. I thought that chicken was the BOMB but I know a lot of other people on this board disagree.

    I think the problem was that it was just too expensive for a fast food place in the neighborhood. ~$7 for a 3 piece meal just wasn't really the sunset park price point.

    There was also some seriously awful worker exploitation going on for a while.

    So, popeyes I guess?
