We took a bike ride from Central Park to White Plains to Portchester, where we stopped downtown for lunch. Unbelieveable. Every country from SA is represented. Two highlights: El Paradiso de los Mariscos - the food is served family style, fresh seafood, Peruvian I believe, with lovely service, great prices. The cook comes out to discuss your order. Around the block is a Brazillian cafe and bakery with a buffet. Again, just wonderful. THe kind of stuff you cannot get in Manhattan anymore. just GO!

yeah - post on the tristate. We (tristate folks) are pretty proud of PC. I don't know if there is another place anywhere near here where so many different latin american places are represented in such a small area. If you are up in PC again, check the tristate board for recent recs. Good eats.

"Every country from SA is represented."

Not so. Several countries are missing: Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela and the trio of Guyana, Surinam and Guiane.

Paraguayan has recently become available in West Harrison. Does anyone have sources for the others in Westchester?

All joking aside Port Chester and the rest of Westchester compete with, and in some ways may even surpass, the Outer Boroughs when it comes to Latin American food.
