Did a search on this and came up with nothing, but I thought I'd ask those in my neck of the woods their thoughts on this place.

I come from the hinterlands of Marine Park, and though largely a chow wasteland, one of the few highlights was the Moretti Bread Bakery on Avenue N just off of Flatbush Ave. They made some great rolls there, and short of stocking up whenever I visit the folks (and keep in mind, my fridge is TINY), I'd like to know that there's something viable in the neighborhood, especially since the feeling towards Uprising has been so negative, and Two Little Red Hens seems more dessert-oriented.

Thanks in advance!

Regina Bakery is merely OK. but gets the job done, seeing as how there aren't many choices for bread in the nabe. The cookies are horrible, bread is bearable. Check out Pumpkin, the organic food store on 8th Ave and 13th (?), they might have some nice bread.

Try Eagle Provisions on 18th St and Fifth ave. They have a good selection of breads and rolls, but steer clear of their bagels, they're awful. For bagels in the Windsor Terrace neighborhood, go to Terrace Bagels on PPW or Bagel Hole on 7th and around 13th.

Im glad you've gotten some reccs for good items at Regina and you may enjoy its products, but Id have to say from my experience its rather mediocre, NOT a high quality Italian bakery such as it is possible to find farther out in Brooklyn.

since the Park Slope area does not have a top flight italian bakery any more, I think youd be looking to the specialty stores (like Blue Apron, Bierkraft A&S and Eagle that stock from other places like Royal Crown and Sullivan street and Amy's - tho Eagle is not strong on italian breads), or travelling to Carroll Gardens, Bensonhurst or your old neighborhood.

Some of the supermarkets carry the Texeira's portuguese rolls which can be pretty darn good bread and are often available 3/$1.00 in the long shape. You might be able to scratch a good chewy yeasty bread itch with these.
