        <content>I've heard about the quality of Monteleone's ricotta cheesecake, but a friend is a big fan of the cream cheese "American" cake.
 
When I arrived today, Monteleone's was out of ricotta cheesecake, but the "regular" (available for a bargain $2.50 per serving) was superb, a little eggier and less dense than Jewish cheesecake -- one of the best cheesecakes in the city to this taster.</content>

      <content>I'm with you on this -- I think their regular cheesecake is excellent, and a relative bargain. The chocolate ones are good too. It's hard to choose between that and the ricotta....</content>

      <content>a good spot for italian cheesecake, although not nearly as good as Alba- which recently closed down forever.</content>
