Goan Indian
Does anyone know of any Queens Indian restaurants that specialize in Goan food, especially pork stuff like Sorpotel? I know that there's Tabla Manhattan, but I was wondering if there was anything in Queens.

Five years have passed since this was asked. Anybody got any Goan recommendations?

Is there anything besides Tabla? (The chef, Floyd Cardoz, is Goan, and Goan dishes appear on that menu often.)

I have never known of a real Goan place in NYC at any time but many places have excellent vindaloo, if that will satisfy a Goan itch for a while. Southern Spice is my favorite, but a lesser but sometimes well done version can be found at Brick Lane (a place that mostly sucks, but has decent vindaloo).

NYJewboy knows his stuff...Southern Spice rocks. Hard to get to without a car, however, as it's far from downtown Flushing 7 stop. Gotta bus it.
