Good Indian Food on the North Peninsula

The last 14 years I've been satisfying my Indian food yearnings at some of the great inexpensive restaurants in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara corridor.

I now would love some recommendations within Burlingame to Redwood City. If any of them have great buffets for either lunch or dinner I would also seek those. I am not a vegetarian - just love all Indian food at moderate prices. I've been spoiled from the Southbay choices. I did notice driving home today a new Indian restaurant in San Carlos just opened on San Carlos Avenue titled Saffron. Has anybody been there?

  1. Lots of encouraging reports about the South Indian vegetarian food at Annapoorna, 2299 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo.

    1. Saffron is wonderful. We have eaten there since they opened. I used to work for a British company and really missed the great Indian food in the UK.
Recently, Saffron has gotten a new chef, and I think the food has gotten even better, although maybe spicier. Try it!
