      <content>"Short drive..." Hmmm.

As a Bronx native I consider Arthur Avenue to be as far from the Stadium as Baghdad. It's like saying go to Luger's on the way to to see the Mets.

Try this:

Located across the bridge from Yankee Stadium, the Flash Inn is "where Harlem's present meets its past." Jessica Harris samples their Italian menu for the Village Voice, starting with fried calamari, zucchini batonnets, and "toothsome" duck breast on mesclun with hoisin-based sauce. Mains were lamb chops ("six fork-tender pink riblets with just enough crisp fat"), surf and turf ("lacked wow"), penne puttanesca, and garlic-infused pork loin. (107 Macombs Pl.; 283-8605; dishes mentioned: apps $6.50-9, mains $13.50-22.50)</content>

<content>John, you just went off-topic, recommending a Manhattan restaurant (-:
This is actually an excellent point, what's "near" in the boroughs, and in NYC in general, relates more to where the subways and major roads go than to a borough border.</content>
