Any recommendations for a Peruvian restaurant that serves this magnificent drink and first-rate food to boot? I remember the great Chucaba de Limena, but that has closed.

Speaking of Pio Pio, am wondering if anyone has found the quality to be detiorating in the last 6 months or so. I eat there generally once a week, and used to get takeout from the woodhaven loc alot, but have found the last 4-5 times I have been, that the service is not what is used to be, and the fries are inedible, the calamari greasy, and the chicken sometimes kinda scrawny (i always order the breasts)..
They have been super busy no matter when I go, on a monday night at 10 pm and weekends I stay away because it is just too insane.

I notice whenever the owner is in town, it's much better, but the staff there now, is kinda lame, and they are not on top of things at all. Hope they get their act together soon, because I really love their hot sauce, but it's been kinda disapointing the last couple times. Once they didn't even have avocados for the salad, and it was early on in the evening.

Am curious if it's a fluke or if others have experienced this.

Was just there last Saturday night, and the food, service and atmosphere were just as good as a year ago. My only quibble was the Pisco sour - lackluster. I could see this place having an off night, but still worth it.
