New restarant opening soon??
I see a new restaurant storefront type situation opening on Columbia Street, half way between Kane and Degraw Sts, screaming blue and yellow storefront with checkered racing flag proudly waving, aptly named "Pit Stop". What's up?? It's looks ready for chowing. I "hear" French owner with possibly very good taste.
Let me know if anyone's heard anything about this place, when and if.
On another note, I'm glad to see Fresh Direct is expanding. I've had nothing but great food and service since I've started with them (4 orders to date, to be specific.)

Took a Brooklyn/Queens joyride this afternoon and also eyeballed new storefronts for "VALIIZ" (another French bistro?) on Fulton St. / Ft. Greene...and a branch of that "famous" pizza place from the Elmhurst/Broadway Asian mall opening at 108th Street on the Rego Park strip.

Several new places seem to be blossoming on Smith--a Japanese place (one block south of Wasabi), a place called Aqua in the former Smith Street Kitchen space and a Chinese/French fusion place on the corner of Butler owned by Ken, the sushi chef at Yamato and Osaka.
