I am visiting a vendor in Long Island (Holtsville) at the end of the month.

What do you suggest for a business supper (mid to to range)? No french cuisine please , we are have a great selection here in Montreal...

Try us, we're adventurous and looking for local & fresh produce, (I know it's winter!)

Holtsville is a dead zone with regards to culinary adventures. Carman's River Inn in nearby Yaphank (pronounced Yap Hank) served good local fare (duck, fish). It has been a few years since I ate there, so I put the name out to see if anyone else has tried it lately. The town is small. The front room bar was full of local workers. The dining room was in the back separated by a glass wall.

You should post this on the tri-state board. Long Island is not an outerborough.
