We answered the query from a Red Rail obviously neighbor. Thought this day to post it, as my block is grateful to those guys for the food (GREAT chicken salad & rolls) they stood and handed out during the blackout.
Sam has been a neighborhood staple for years. Kevin is newer to Brooklyn but lifelong in restaurant kitchens. Neil is this guy whose fiber is spun in the kitchen. New Yorkers (and Smith Streeeters) could pay triple for this fare. The wait staff, Barbara and George, keep you feeling coddled and smiley.
And one of the best things, for me, is they will put that yummy stuff into a bag for you to take home when you just want to be with your cats.
Keep asking for Sunday brunch. I think they are about to cave.
It's on Henry at Warren in the Hill, tinsy place.

I think so. The food has that same distinctive spice. He's mostly in the kitchen when I'm there. It's that take out thing that makes it busier than the tinsy table settings.
