Acapulco's restaurantnear (near 73rd., I think) continues to do good tacos (white meat chicken with decent guacamole, nonetheless) for $1. Across the street (and next door to restaurant "Eurasia") is a Russian grocery with an amazing selection of Baltic, Ukranian, and Russian beers. More Baltikas than I've seen outside of Russia, as well as the comprehensively excellent Aldaris Zelta from Latvia. Haven't seen Huaraches anywhere else. Although they are not "elegant", the service is very gringo-friendly. Anything I've had there so far has been delicious and well-prepared. And thanks for the heads up on the BBQ place. As an apartment owner out there, it may help my jones as I walk past the backyards with the grills going, although it's probably an entirely different animal, anyway.
