We went to that bargain sushi place last night. The oyster roll and salmon (sushi, sahimi, rolls) were always very good...but I remember everythign else being mediocre. Now the salmon was more normal...but the eel and tuna were much better. The oyster roll was still good...its warm fried oysters in a roll. It was great since before the tuna wasn't that good...and now the menu (what we ordered at least) was more consistant.

BTW, they deliver...probably all over Queens (since they even deliver to Flushing. They have a store in Brooklyn that they probably deliver from as well.

Don't know about these places - but I do know that the words bargain and sushi are two words that should be in the same sentence.

Yeah! Yeah! I think I know the place you mean. It is on Queens Boulevard (aka the Boulevard of Death) sort of near the Circuit City? I do not eat in, but I ordered from there when I was chez a friend because they had the crazy 50% off sushi menu.

Now, I usually have a rule about sushi places--I only go to ones that I've heard are good from an actual person who ate there and didn't die. But I was having a terrible craving and figured what the hell. And it is super!

I mean, the selection isn't great, but I'm so focused with my love of sushi that I can eat spicy tuna three times a week and never tire of it. What I like about this place is that the rolls are HEFTY, well-filled with both fish and rice. Also, it arrives FAST and the price is no joke.

I'm 80% sure we're talking about the same place. For bargain sushi it is surprisingly good: so sez me.

I moved out of that neighborhood just 8 days ago, but ordered in from Chikurin a few times before I left. And at least twice I woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pains after eating their sushi.

Was it definitely caused by their sushi? Well.....not necessarily. I did eat other food on the days in question. But the "coincidence" was too great for me, and I stopped ordering from there a few months ago.

It's too bad too, because the sushi was actually pretty good. Their sushi/sashimi combination was reasonably priced and had some nice hunks of fish in there. But my advice would be stick to Mickey's.

HI,
I just ate at the place tonight. The food was great, only the white tuna came out a bit too cold. However, this fact was mitigated by the fact that I fell in love with one of the waitresses, (not the chubby one, although she is nice). I want to marry her and loook into her lovely face for hours at a time. I want to watch her sleeping on my shoulder, although that might make neck hurt. I want give her 10 children all as lovely as her.
Anyway, like I said the food was great!
