Roberto Cappucino??
Take yourselves back here. There used to be a small crepe place on Court St. called Roberto Cappucino. It had erratic hours, closed all summer, and terrible service (you could sit at a table 20 minutes before being brought water and another 20 before being asked to order). It also had fairly good crepes, much better than the short-lived, execrable Crepe Factory on Smith St.
Upon leaving the space, the owner posted a fairly crazed rant in the window about how he was being driven out by yuppies and greed.
I always was fond of the place. Anyone know what happened to the owner?
I have only to add to your knowledge that he did have a patch of garden on Wyckoff (I think) that is now that large new condo building facing that ugly wall over the Rite Aid. Next to "the French place" that I don't know the name of, we always call it "the French place." I remember him growing arugula and, I think, broccoli rabe. He gardened in a straw hat.
