King Size Donuts

  • o

Has anyone been to this "open 24-hours" place in Astoria...underneath the N/W line? What are the donuts like there?

  1. Not bad! Large (as in "king-size"). Cheap too

On par with DOUGHNUT FACTORY (Grand Street / LowerEastSide)?...What varieties/recommendations?

I don't know. I got a big old donut. Glazed I think. It was tasty. They're donuts! Pick one for cryin' out loud!

Maybe I'm not the one to ask because people rave about Alpha Donuts on Queens Blvd -- and I didn't think they were very good at all. Also, I'm a fan of Krispy Kreme, mucho maligned on these boards.

L-O-L response...but, where in the heck IS this place...address please?

Oh, by-the-way, I'm NO FAN of Grispy Grease, especially when sold as "fresh" outside of their own outlets.

King Size is on 31st St., a little north of 36th Ave on the left. The donuts are wonderful, a great reprieve from the miserable Dunkin' Donuts on the corner. King Size also has all sorts of crepes and toasted Greek sandwiches if you make it there past donut-eating time (if there is such a thing).
