Licorice Allsorts

Liz the Licorice Lover Nov 12, 2002 02:19 PM

I am a HUGE fan of Bassets Licorice Allsorts, a British candy staple that is both difficult to find in the US, and normally stale when procured. I have been able to locate this candy at Myers of Keswick, and was pleased with the quality but not with the price. I was wondering if you are aware of any grocery stores/candy stores where they can be procured, or of any reliable online "British Products" retailers?

they were very fresh at economy candy on the LES a little over a month ago. i don't remember the price though i'm sure it was good. they're pretty available in new york -- in bulk though, not boxed.

Believe it or not I purchased them from CVS sometime within the past year. Not sure they still carry them (and CVS is a pain-in-the neck place to shop) but it's worth a try.
