I've been going once a week or more. I drive to the end of Hamilton Avenue, then make a left onto Van Brunt. I'm not sure how I'd get there by bus or train, maybe call them. Great breakfast all day - try the buttermilk pancakes. The best Philly Cheese Steak in New York - I mean it. Killer cobb salad. Fine handmade gnocchi in a fresh tomato/sundried tomato sauce. Monkfish in broth with chorizo and olives. Good vibe. Frindly staff. And they remember me already! (It's always been a pet peeve when I become a regular at a place and no one ever acknowledges it.)

You can take the B61 bus which you catch at Jay Street in downtown Brooklyn. It will drop you off literally across the street from the restauarant.

Coming from Park Slope, the B77 is a lot more convenient. It starts at 10th St. and 5th Ave and goes to Red Hook.
