Anyone tried the new Pearson's?

Has anyone tried Pearson's BBQ since they re-opened? I read they were in a sports bar in Jackson Heights and am wondering if there's any funky ambience like the old location in Long Island City. Is it the kind of place you can take kids to? Please fill me in.

ooops. Sorry, so utterly foolish of me - I didn't scroll down to see that it's already been thoroughly critiqued. I'll try it anyway.

Pearson's BBQ is at the back Legends Bar. The kitchen and several tables are also located at the back of the bar. I don't know why someone would say: "definitely leave the kids at home" unless you're going there late at night and just looking for the "bar" experience. I've eaten there many times and seen lots of families with young children. The usual waitress is very sweet, efficient and pleasant and I'm sure would be very nice and patient with children. I usually go and sit at the bar and eat my bbq there (with a nice cold pint!)but I think a family with children would sit at a table in the back and be very comfortable.

Thanks for your reply! I'll check it out and let you know. My daughter - who's eight - despises chicken fingers(??) and mac'n'cheese offerings, and for many people, that(and plastic cups with crayons)virtually defines "kid friendly". But there's a contingent of little people out there that are horrified by those choices.
