For Buford (re: Caribbean eats)

  • b

I saw your post below and thought I'd respond up here to ensure that you see it. The two neighborhoods I usually go to for Caribbean food are Flatbush and Crown Heights. Take the A train to Nostrand Avenue and walk south towards Eastern Parkway. Along the way you will find many restaurants and sweet shops. Another option is the #4 to Utica Avenue. Utica, between Eastern Parkway and Empire Boulevard, also has a lot to offer. A third option is Church Avenue. Take the D train to Church and walk west, across Flatbush Avenue (another hotspot for Caribbean food), and onward, past Nostrand, and so on. If you have the time, Liberty Avenue (near Lefferts, the last stop on the A train) is another lively strip. Enjoy your trip and please let us know what you think!

  1. Great, thanks! In fact because I bookmarked my messages and am tracking responses there, I'm only seeing your message now. I'll fold in your answers to the final edition of the walking tours.

    Much appreciated!
