Patois- I want them to know!

I've read all the messages here about the rude service at Patois and silently cheered, as I've had the exact same experiences as others.

Has anyone ever had the urge to print out messages like these and mail them to the owners? Wouldn't they do something proactive? And while I'm at it, can I tell them Uncle Pho's sucks?

Let me know what you think, my printer is at the ready.

It's a great idea, Kate. Sounds like they could really use a wake-up call. Of course, we all know what the ultimate wake-up call is...a destroyed reputation and lack of patronage. Hopefully, Patois will get the message and change their ways before that happens. I'm sure their losing quite a few customers right here.

You'd be wasting you're time. The owners of Patois are well aware of the complaints about their service and attitude. If you do a search of this site you'll find an exchange from about two years ago, in which the owner stated that such complaints were attributable to the provincial mindset of the dissatisfied patrons.

There are so many better options now in Brooklyn and on Smith Street that it's best to communicate with one's wallet. I don't see how anyone could go to Uncle Pho even a second time -- bad (MYSTERIOUSLY bad) food, high prices, attitude. And Banania is, like, a block away.

Uncle Pho is really a mystery to me. I know quite a few people who've gone there (on separate occasions), and every single one of them rated it terrible. And yet it continues to pull crowds. Go figure.

I'm going to do it anyway- do a search, print 'em out, let them fly their way home.

And Uncle Pho is a blight.

I think Uncle Pho's is horrible as well, but I finally met someone that actually liked the place last night. He said that he has the steak frites there, (which is not on the menu) and never has anything else. I guess if someone put a gun to my head and made me eat there, that is what I would order. (Though I would still suffer from the noise).

              And Banania is any better?

I can't agree about either. The service and food in Patois when I went last week (for the first time) were very good. As for Uncle Pho, I am a regular. I go about every other week. The service is usually very good and the food is excellent. Yes, it is a bit pricey for the location, but I always enjoy my meal there and they always have very new and interesting specials.
