Looking for great burgers & such in Eastern Queens

Great burgers are almost commonplace in Western Queens (Vernon Blvd, Queens Blvd, Woodside) but I've not fared well in the Flushing/Bayside area. Have I missed some places?

The only place that comes to mind is Jackson Hole on Bell Blvd. I'm not agreat fan of their burgers bacause they cover them while they're cooking, so they get kind of steamed; but lots of people love them and they do have good fries and toppings. Surprisingly, they also do a good breakfast.

Good luck - I know how it is.

Oh dear, that's like buying Ruffles when Krunchers are in the next bin! You're SO near to greatness. Right off Bell Blvd in Bayside, Donovans, at 214-16 41 ave 423-5178, has some of the best burgers in the city. Maybe THE best burgers. Must order sauteed onions. The Guinness stout is also perfect. Don't even consider eating/drinking anything else there, though. The place exists for these two things. There's a branch in Woodside, as well.

Joe D., hope you're reading along!

      ciao

I feel as dumb as the ever-maligned toast. I always go to the other Donovans, so I forgot this one. Now I have a major craving - thanks alot, Jim. By the way, this site has been life-changing. Thank you so much. I've never even been tempted to chat on the 'puter before, but I love this and almost eveyone on it.

No, not dumb, you're actually TOO intelligent. If you had limited brain neurons, like I do, the memory of Donovan's would expunge and replace the memory of Jackson Hole, and the latter would be completely unavailable to you forevermore.

I'd suggest a support group for People Who Remember Too Much (and the people who love them).

          Welcome, great to have you!

          ciao
