Taiwanese Restaurants in Queens

While I've tried a great variety of cuisines from Asia, Taiwanese remains to be tackled. What do you guys recommend from Lai Food or David's Taiwanese that may be distinctively Taiwanese? Though I like tripe, I'm not too keen on any of the other organ meats.

    Try the fermented tofu at David's; it is not stinky enough to turn me off like at some of the places in Flushing, and the flavor is nicely nuanced.
