A few weeks back, I attended a wedding held at the ctr. This a nice setting. Botanical gardens on site and the buildings are old & charming. In addition, the food at the sit-down meal was very competent. This was not fine dining, but food at weddings can be very disappointing and this was better than Ive had at many others. Tasty little appetizers (quiche, prawns), followed by pasta with olives, tomato and herbs. Then I chose salmon (others had chicken) that was cooked simply with butter.
Its only 5 mins by taxi/bus from ferry terminal, so its a place to consider even if you dont live on SI. A few months ago, The New Yorker mentioned the ctr as a good place to go for a day out, wedding or no wedding. I agree.
