    To paraphrase on the Big Dog, though Yonkers and Southern Westchester may seem like a borough of NY it is not. I think you have to post on the "Tri-state board". Personally I wish there was a "NY Environs" board but that concept should be discussed on the "Site Talk" board. Whew...

        One strip worth checking out is McLean Avenue in Yonkers, just north of the Bronx. If you go east of the Major Degan (the side the racetrack is on), there are numerous Irish restaurants -- the specialty of course being breakfast. I've had good luck at The Irish Coffeehouse, but several of the others look like they're worth checking out as well. Also, some of the newsstand/candy stores on McLean still make egg creams.
