...what am i??????

  • r

...anyone can help me out?
i stopped wearing leather and spoke of myself as an lacto-oglio-vegetarian (doesn´t eat dead animals, but drink milk, eat eggs and doesn´t care too much about animals fat).
but they told me that i´d be specificated as something else by now, cause i stopped the leather thing..
i don´t know, i´m just curious in wich way i can refer
to myself as in an eloquent way..
tell me!

  1. This isn't really the board to ask such questions...

But since you ask, I'd call you an ovo-lacto vegetarian. The leather thing is a separate (albeit related) issue. I wouldn't worry about labels too much though.

The only thing I have a problem with is when people say "I'm a vegetarian, I only eat fish." That bugs the hell out of me.

Even worse, I've heard "I'm a vegetarian, but I eat bacon now and then." And "I'm a vegetarian, but I eat chicken."

..thanks for the info....... and sorry if i disturbed you guys in some way while discussing your restaurant issues.
to get off that issue once again:
those who say they are vegetarians and eat fish or chicken or cats and dogs or whatever, are the ones who stopped eating some animals because of the taste not because of their ethical values, i think.
anyway you are right about the labels...
i was just curious about it.
by the way, is there any place to discuss issues like this? because i found none (the reason why i bug you restaurant guys.......)

RBN--we've got two boards for discussion of non-specific topics like this..."Not About Food" (which is probably where this discussion best fits) or "General Topics", which deals with non-regional specific food matters.

In any case, no bother...just we do try to be a bit tidier about putting messages in the best possible location. If you'd like to repost to the "Not About Food" board, I can erase this thread here
