Famous Brisket House
I went to this little place, on Court St. just north of Atlantic Avenue, last night for a quick take-out meal. I had a good falafel sandwich - the very nice guy at the counter made some fresh falafel balls, and he stuffed in a lot of onions, good lettuce, good tomatoes, and the roasted (grilled?) eggplant that I had been eyeing.
A long-ago thread on this board mentioned this place's relation, or maybe non-relation, to David's Brisket House, written up in Jim's book. The place on Court is mostly mid-eastern stuff, but they do have corned beef and pastrami. I don't know if they were connected to David and had a falling out, or what.
