A good chocolate cupcake
Today I ate a very nice chocolate cupcake, at Island
Bakery on Broadway and 43rd Street, in Astoria. It had
just the right (IMO) texture, not spongy, not dry, sort
of just midway between cake and muffin. It had no
frosting; it was rich enough not to need frosting.
Very, very good.
re: Pam Sommers
You know I never really understood that commercial... I
like chocolate cookies, and I like the taste in my
mouth after eating one; but if I wanted to get rid of
that taste milk seems like the last thing I would use
to do it. Isn't it? Because milk is gummy; it doesn't
clear your throat at all! (Not that I dislike milk; I
just can't see using it in this context.)
