niche restaurants/places that serve only one thing

does anyone know of any places in the city that serve only one type of food (like rice to riches)?

Is Katsu-Hama still there? Strictly speaking not quite single item since I think they have a small sushi bar or something up front, but the dining room is all about tonkatsu.

I walked by a place in Chelsea a few weeks ago--can't find it now. Somewhere on 21 or 20 th and 5th or 6th ave. It was some kind of Spanish sandwich roll. Anyone familiar with this place?

OK, it's two things, but still a niche place: Burgers and Cupcakes, on 9th Ave.

                  Also, the Soupman franchise.

I'm sure there are more. Too bad Grilled Cheese NYC closed.

Anyone recall the name of the cheesesteak place on W 3rd St. in the Village that serves only cheesteak and nuthin' else??
                    Beard Papa? Only cream puffs
                    Numerous hot dog joints
Dirty Bird -- chicken roasted or fried

                          BB Sandwich Bar
                          120 West 3rd Street
                          212-473-7500

When I went there was also a cupcake-only place in the same (tiny) space. Their free mini's weren't bad (and the price was right).
