I'll be in NYC (Manhattan) from June 1-4 and at least once would like a great "tasting menu" meal. I'm a very adventurous eater and like almost all types of "cuisines". One of my favorite meals was the tasting menu at Nobu next door.

All advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think the two best are Le Bernardin and Cru (chef's tasing). I actually preferred Cru but most will recommend LB. Enjoy your trip!

WD-50 is not universally beloved on these boards, but I loved their tasting menu, and their wine pairings with it were the best and most creative I've had. And it's definitely adventurous!

If you would like a less expensive Nobuesque tasting menu, try Le Miu, at 7th St. and Ave. A. It offers a $45 and $65 tasting menu with several small appetizers, nouvelle sashimis, a hot entree, sushi, and dessert. I'd say the food is a notch below Nobu/Nobu next door, but it's very pleasant, quiet, and friendly.

I think Bouley for lunch is a fantastic deal ($38 prix-fixe), as is Le Bernadin's.
