Cafe Alsace was recently written up here as a place to get good beer, but I cannot find any reference to it on yellow.com or the Web. Can anybody help me out? Many thanks.

I think Cafe d'Alsace is okay. The place is nice and the service is friendly. The food was good but nothing memoriable. Its fine if you're in the neighborhood but I wouldn't go out of the way for it.

Fair comment, although the beer list is extraordinary. But a reservation is recommended, nevertheless - it's very busy in a neighborhood where there isn't a lot of competition.

You definitely don't NEED a reservation. Each time I've been, I walked in and was immediately seated. However, I also eat later than most of the crowd in that neighborhood.
