233963 Mon May 15 11:24:39 -0700 2006 0 18 Manhattan 0 1241153 We had the salmon and scallop carpaccio (sauce was a bit too vinegary, but there was a generous portion of tender salmon and a mesclun salad), mussels frites (great French fries), trout in a creamy Riesling sauce with white grapes and spinach, basil spaetzle, duck in raspberry sauce and vanilla bean creme brulee. (They also sent over a complimentary plate of butter cookies!) There's really great service at this cafe... although the crowd is getting nuts, the managers and waiters seem to really make the customer feel special.
