Never been to chickalicious, but I can say that Room 4 Deserts was disappointing.

1) Deserts were OK. You can watch them assemble everything at the bar, but I could tell everything was sitting around and was often stale.
2) The atmoshphere is horrible and not set up for conversation at all. Thank god I have a girlfriend, but the few people I know who had "match.com" / first dates hated the place for this reason.
3) Finally- Nothing stood out. Maybe it is me, but if I were to open a place based strictly around deserts, I would bring a lot more creativity and qualtiy to the table.

Have not tried Chickalicios, but would skip room 4 desert all together and go to WD-50 for their desert tasting menu.

agreed. i think it's just something about the room ... everyone is facing the same way, toward the wall, and it's long and narrow. could possibly why that space is a death-watch kind of space. how many places have been there in the past few years?

agreed again.

If you must do one of the two...I'd recommend Chikalicious.

But the desserts at WD~50 by Sam Mason are really great.
