Dim Sum- Dum Sum a Go Go, but there are probably better options
Middle Eastern- Moustache, Khyber Pass on 8th Street
Greek- Not sure- Snack or Snack Taverna
Reg. Great Chinese-?
Thai- Toons on Hudson and Bank Street
Noodle Shops- Sammy's or wander in Chinatown
Dumplings-Number 1 Dumplings or also Chinatown south of Canal
Sushi- So many- not sure, but Soba Ya is great for hand pulled noodles and inventive, exquisite apps.

Great Suggestions. I would also add for good authentic Chinese, Congee Village. There are 2 locations, but the one on Allen and Delancey is the best. The food is very very good, and I'm not normally a huge fan of Chinese. Definitely try the Congee and the Garlicky greens. Plus the $4 Lychee Martinis are unbelievable!

While the original request was made nearly 2 yrs. ago, perhaps my suggestion could still be helpful to someone. For Greek food, I LOVE The Symposium. It has been in the same spot for over 30 yrs. When I looked at their menu online, I was delighted to see that the atmosphere (colorful artwork on the walls) and food are unchanged and that menu items have not increased much in price. Don't let that fool you--the food is SUPERB! I will be returning to NYC for the first time since '76, and staying in the W. Village...but will make a special trip to The Symposium, on W. 113th St. east of Bdwy., in the Columbia Univ. area, for an early dinner one evening. Google it and find the entire menu.
