Tiffin/Lunch box service

curry seeker Mar 15, 2006 01:19 PM

There is an article in the NYT about a San Francisco based tiffin/lunch box delivery service for home-cooked Indian food. So I was wondering if anyone knew of such a service in New York. I promise not to spread the word beyond this chowish circle :)

Just found out about this—haven't tried it yet:

    Has anyone ordered from them?

There was an article at the end of 2004 about a tiffinwalla opening up in New York. It even has his phone number. I've posted the link below for you to check out. Not sure if he's still in business or if the number's still connected, but if so, I'm sure he could point you in the right direction.

If you read the whole article it says that there are some places in midtown - right where I work! - but they don't give any names or numbers. Drat, drat, double drat. . .

There was some talk a few months ago about a New York franchise of the British Tiffinbites shop, but from what I understand, all plans collapsed.
