"they" were two of the servers, no idea of their names, one was overly friendly and annoying if that helps....neither Antonio or Jason were there sunday afternoon or would have asked one of them...All i'm telling is what they told me, which probably falls into in the same lexicon of BS that most servers say when they have no clue what thy are talking about...and thanks autumnwine for establishing the credentials of another poster, does this mean you get a free donut?

Sorry if my wording offended you, as I didn't intended that way. We've all had servers who tell things with conviction even when they have no clue.

Whatever their reasons for the ferocity of their declaration....I,the pastry chef at Otto, made that batch of Bufala ricotta gelato with my own little hands, and had it delivered to Lupa, guaranteed.Let it rest, and enjoy!

I'm partial to Cones. Also, I have a question. I was recently in Rome while I was in Della Palma (the gelateria near the Pantheon), I noticed that their cups suggest they have a New York branch. Is that accurate???

I love cones as well. Their style of ice cream is Argentinian, but I'm not sure what distinguishes that from Italian-style gelato. No matter to me really!

I love several flavors: hazelnut, white chocolate, coffee chip, tiramisu, and the passion fruit sorbet. Apparently it is always time for Cones, as I went there a few weeks ago, when it was pretty cold, and the place was packed.

The owners, two brothers, are nice guys and handsome to boot!

I'm going to vote for Il Laboratorio del Gelato, although we got tons of e-mails after our recent posting about them from gelato zealots on both sides of this argument. Touchy subject you've stumbled into.

The gelato at Otto is just sensational. I am not a big fan of the food there, but it is a great place for gelato and wine. :)
