Anyone been to Bolo recently?
Went two nights before Thanksgiving. Was expecting a more crowded, livelier atmosphere, but found the place only 1/4 full.
Food is inventive, but doesn't blow anyone away. The steak is very good, the tapas aps are tasty but tiny and the drinks are just eh. Can't say I'd recommend this place.
I went in the last couple of weeks, and I agree with Scooby. The tapas are creative, but very small. What they are not, however, is particularly delicious. Or memorable, and hence I cannot offer specifics. The restaurant has an annoying policy of serving tapas only in multiples of four because the plate has four compartments. That is the cart before the horse.
It's not a bad place, just not great. I wil say, however, that the paella and meat entrees looked quite good, so I might be willing to return to try those.
